We strive to be loving and obedient disciples of Jesus Christ

As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,

And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

Psalm 103:15–18 NKJV

Love for God and Neighbor

What to expect when you visit our church

Simplicity

At Grace Baptist Church, our services are purposefully simple. We believe that the Word of God tells us how we ought to worship, and so we do the things that the New Testament sets forth for the church: singing, praying, preaching, reading Scripture, observing the two ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Table, and receiving offerings. We believe that God is pleased to work through these ordinary means because this is what He has told us in His Word. In our services, we desire to honor God first.

God’s Word

Because God has given us the Bible as the authority for the church, our services are characterized by much attention to the Bible. In our preaching, we seek to take the text and make it understandable. In our teaching, we seek to be thorough. Because God’s Word stands together, we value the study of theology. Because God is still at work, we value the study of church history. In these pursuits, our goal is to understand God and His purposes in history better, and to know our place in His plan.

Love for One Another

The apostle Paul wrote “the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Timothy 1:5). Our love for God ought to spill over into love for one another. In keeping with this, we believe that there is more to the Christian life than merely attending services. We have historically placed great value in fellowship with one another and serving one another, “bearing one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). So you will find events on our calendar like bonfires, Christmas caroling, family game nights, and etc., where we provide opportunities for families to come together for fellowship and recreation.
